Training Content

This training examines the nature of psychosis and CBT, providing a foundation for understanding how CBT can be helpful, explores the basic style of CBT for psychosis with an introduction to two of the most important techniques, and applications of CBT are explored for a variety of psychotic experiences.

Skills & Tools

You will learn how to collaborate with people having difficult and confusing experiences, “exploring the evidence" rather than imposing your own beliefs, and helping people develop well informed coping options.

Who Should Attend

This training is designed to give mental health workers practical strategies they can put to work immediately, as well as to stimulate an interest in learning more about this approach. Prior knowledge of CBT is helpful but not required.

Our Speaker:

Ron Unger, LCSW

Ron Unger, LCSW, is a therapist and therapy supervisor practicing in Eugene, OR, specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy and related approaches for psychosis.
