Who Should Attend

This training is appropriate for behavioral health practitioners, therapists, and primary care providers. Even if you have taken Gender Diverse Youth trainings before, this will be a great refresher on this impactful format of care.

Treatment Needs and Approaches for Gender Diverse Youth Learning Objectives

This 2-day training will provide in-depth information on how to work with transgender and gender diverse (TGD) youth in a balanced, affirming-exploratory manner. The focus will be on mental health therapy and assessment. The second day, in particular, will dive into the important topics that should be addressed when assessing gender dysphoric youth seeking medical interventions. The information provided will be consistent with the World Professional Association’s Standards of Care – Version 8, but the focus will go beyond what is available in the WPATH document.
